Malena Ernman: Baroque program
In the first half of the concert of the timeless beauty of the Baroque. Malena Ernman interprets some of the most divine arias written in the last 350 years – with music by Purcell, Handel and Bach as crown jewels. Here, the audience encounters a soundscape of sincerity, richness of ornamentation and emotional brilliance.
A concert that allows us to look back in music history and at the same time feel its eternal presence.
The exact program is presented from the stage – but the promise stands: an experience to carry with you long after the last note has faded.

Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart (1756–1791): Sinfonia Concertante in E flat major, K. 364

Felix Mendelssohn (1809–1847): Violin Concerto in E minor, Op. 64

Among sculptures and mountainous meadows, Pilane offers Bohuslän’s most fabulous outdoor stage – where art and nature become one.

Malena Ernman interprets the heart of the Baroque with dramatic presence, Mendelssohn’s Violin Concerto shines with youthful clarity and melodic power, and Mozart’s Sinfonia Concertante concludes with a heavenly balance between violin, viola and orchestra.

John Malkovich will not participate in this concert

Price Youth (not 20 years): 200 SEK
(children between 5-10 years who can sit on your lap are free, for most children under 5 years the concerts are usually “too long”)

The concert is expected to be over at approximately 21:00

Unnumbered seats – Admission takes place 60 minutes before the scheduled start of the concert

There are wheelchair accessible spaces and escorts do not need to book a ticket

In the event of illness or other external influences, program items and artists may be changed and in that case replaced by equivalent and corresponding program content.

Purchased ticket (= paid ticket) cannot be redeemed.

The rules of the Distance Contracts Act on the right of withdrawal do not apply to the purchase of event tickets.
Refunds will only be made in the event of a cancelled or rescheduled event.

This concert takes place outdoors, which means special conditions.

• Scene and execution: We are building a stage for the concert, which means that it can be carried out even in case of rain or bad weather.
• Clothes according to the weather: Since the concert is outdoors, it is important that the audience dresses appropriately according to the prevailing weather conditions.
• Seating: There are no fixed seats on site. The audience is welcome to sit on rocky outcrops or bring their own folding chairs for increased comfort.

We will offer free transit buses from Stenungssund and Rönnäng as the latest. We will get back to you with timetables and booking later

Parking is plentiful, which is about 800 meters from the entrance (see red markings on the map) is available and there you pay on site through EasyPark (cannot be pre-booked by us).

Bohuslän’s Chamber Music Festival is a production by the Friends of Chamber Music, a non-profit association that since 2006 has arranged over 75 festivals and thousands of concerts with classical music around Sweden.

The association collaborates with prominent international artists, soloists and conductors as well as with young musicians from all over Europe. Our vocation is to spread, bring to life and renew chamber music – to let it resonate not only in concert halls but also in churches, in small towns and in unique environments from coast to mountain.

Through our festivals, we want to create meetings between music, people and places, where chamber music becomes a bridge between generations and cultures – a living cultural heritage in constant development.
