Welcome back

After the success in 2025 when all concerts along the coast were fully booked, Bohuslän’s Chamber Music Festival 2026 returns with a grand continuation!!
The soul of the festival sits in Bohuslän’s cliffs and sea, churches and historic environments – which create a world-unique stage for the concerts.
In these genuine and timeless environments, some of Europe’s most prominent musicians and artists meet this summer. Among this year’s guests is the American actor John Malkovich,Malena Ernman,Massimo Quarta,Alissa Margulis, Anastasya Terenkovaand the International Chamber OrchestraThe Funäs Chamber Soloists.
The festival opens at Stora Teatern in Gothenburg on June 25 with John Malkovich in the performance Report on the Blind – a dramatic and musical experience based on Ernesto Sabato’s novel On Heroes and Tombs, to music by Alfred Schnittke. The concert begins with Antonio Vivaldi’s The Four Seasons – one of the most beloved works in music history.

One of the highlights of the festival will be the outdoor concert at Pilane, where art and nature meet in a symphony of beauty.
Under the open sky, surrounded by sculptures as silent guardians, the evening becomes a magical moment of music and poetry.
Local food, fished and harvested with love, enhances the experience.
The aroma of freshly grilled fish and freshly harvested herbs mixes with the tones of a cello.
Here, sea, music and stories meet in a summer feast for all the senses.
Welcome to a festival where music becomes one with the soul of Bohuslän!

The festival is organized by the association

a European meeting place for chamber music in Sweden
Chamber music is one of the most intimate and powerful forms of classical music. By uniting some of the world’s foremost musicians, young talents and an engaged audience, we create unique concert experiences where the music is in direct contact with the audience.
Since 2006, we have organized 75 festivals, over 700 concerts and 750 master classes, with more than 8,500 students and professors from 50 countries. Our events attract a wide audience and have gathered over 160,000 visitors.
Through international networks, strong local roots and an inclusive way of working, we build bridges between generations, cultures and societies. Our vision is to establish chamber music as a natural part of Sweden’s and Europe’s cultural life – accessible to everyone.
Welcome to experience the power of chamber music!
